What Botties is
Botties is a marketplace that connects people who want to rent baby and child equipment with the owners who list it. Botties is not a party to the rental agreement itself — the contract is between the renter and the owner.
Payments and fees
The rental amount is paid online through Stripe when a booking is confirmed, together with Botties’ Platform Fee (10% of the rental) and a fixed payment-processing amount, both charged to the renter on top of the rental and shown before payment. The owner’s earnings are the full rental amount.
The refundable security deposit is separate from the rental amount and is collected by Botties at checkout, in the same payment. It is refunded in full to the renter’s original payment method after the owner confirms the item was returned in the agreed condition. If the owner reports a problem, Botties reviews the report before the deposit is released. The deposit is never part of the platform fee or the owner’s earnings.
Your responsibilities
Owners are responsible for listing items accurately, including condition and safety. Renters are responsible for the item while it is in their care and for returning it as agreed.
Both parties must be able to enter into a contract and provide accurate account details.
Private beta
Botties is in private beta. Features may change, and the service is provided without warranty as to uninterrupted availability. We will give notice of material changes to these terms.
Disputes
If an owner reports a problem with a returned item, Botties reviews the report and decides what happens to the security deposit. Beyond that, Botties does not currently adjudicate disputes between renters and owners. Contact support@botties.co and we will help where we can.
